Contemplative Suffering
The Contemplative Suffering installation was the culmination of my spiritual formation training in seminary. The installation was based on the Ignatian Examen, a spiritual exercise that facilitates the examination of the current state of one's soul. Participants moved at their own pace through six stations with a printed guide. Each station encouraged the participant to explore the state of their soul from a different aspect. The installation was offered during the Easter season as a linear retreat for those who wanted to experience the Christian mysteries in a deeper way.
